Saybrook Point Inn Opens New Tall Tales Luxury Guest House

by Ryan Shea

Is it actually possible to take something that is already near perfect and add onto it to further that ubiquitous perfection?  I mean, outside of sandwich classics and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, it is really hard to find anything tangible nowadays that really showcase how great something is.  Well, Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, about an hour outside of New York City in Connecticut, has just unveiled their gorgeous new luxury house on their amazing premises called “Tall Tales”.

I had the amazing opportunity to review Saybrook Point Inn & Spa a couple of months back, and was thoroughly blown away by each aspect of what they had to offer for its guests when they stay at their incredible establishment.  While I was there, I was taken on a tour around the property where Tall Tales was in its finishing touches of being opened but wasn’t available to view at that point.  Now that Spring is just around the corner, Tall Tales will be a perfect example of where to escape when you are looking to take a long weekend outside of the streets of New York City.

Here is more from their release-

Saybrook Point is excited to announce the opening of its new Tall Tales luxury guesthouse. Located next door to its historic Three Stories guesthouse and steps away from the front desk of its main landmark Inn in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, guests now have the opportunity to relax and unwind among the peacefulness and tranquility of a new Victorian-era Italianate-style home overlooking Long Island Sound. East Wharf Architects of Madison, Connecticut and Silver Contract Interiors of Stamford thoroughly researched and replicated the architecture and interior designs of the period. With private balconies, secluded gardens, and common areas offering traditional billiards, classic games and timeless literature, guests will find the comfortable nooks and niches of Tall Tales relaxing and rejuvenating. The property’s unique interiors feature include six individually designed rooms each with a private balcony, cozy fireplace, European bedding, fine hand-woven linens, extensive water views and original artwork by local artists. And as a testament to the rich heritage of the area, each room tells the profound story of a remarkable individual in early American history and local lore.

“It’s been a wonderful journey replicating the architecture of yesterday and paying homage to the rich history and traditions of our community,” said Stephen Tagliatela, Innkeeper and Managing Partner of Saybrook Point. “We’re thrilled to finally open the doors to our new luxurious Tall Tales and bring a new level of hospitality to our guests.”

With rates starting at $349, reservations for the new Tall Tales luxury guesthouse at Saybrook Point are now being accepted by phone through onsite Room Specialists at 860.395.2000 or by visiting www.saybrook.com.  This is definitely something that is worth the trip to as you will leave feeling refreshed and happy as can be.
