You can’t just keep a good thing down, can you? That goes for what’s in the front of a lot of men’s pants, and that also goes for one of the biggest bear events in the world- Furball, which makes its triumphant return to Space Ibiza on June 24th, during NYC Pride Weekend.
Furball, which is ran by legendary nightlife persona Joe Fiore, has been infiltrating the New York City bear and gay scene for over a decade now, with them celebrating their twelfth year anniversary a couple of months back. As someone who has had the privilege and honor to dance at every single Furball since the one at Pride last year, I can say that if you truly love dancing, other furry men, two big open spaces to enjoy yourselves at, and the ability to enjoy an environment without any judgment, then Furball is the one place you must go to.
Here is what you can expect from this year’s celebration that kicks off NYC Pride. There are four different and amazing DJ’s, who are coming from all around the world to give you the best of the best of what their sets entail. Starting with our hometown homeboy Corey Craig, who has done some insanely amazing sets at previous Furball’s, he will be one to watch out for when it comes to his sick mashups and amazing beats that will be pumping throughout the night. Also on hand is Matt Effect all the way from Sydney, Australia, Jack Chang from Frankfurt, Germany, and Benson Wilder coming in from Dallas, all to give you a national and international taste of the music scene in one incredibly night.
The event will be hosted by two amazing friends of mine, Daddy Ersin and Blaine J. Davis, as well as Paul Short and Damian Downer. Also on hand will be a ton of super hot gogo bears, dressed skimpy for your pleasure, who will be dancing their hearts out next to the DJ’s and all around the venue for you to enjoy. You can get advanced tickets here, as it is much easier than waiting until the last minute. The earlier the better. Party starts at 10PM on the 24th, so make sure that you get yourself there early, bring your friends, and have a great time! Grr. 🙂
