One myth about Manhattanites that tends to be true is that many of them migrate out east for the summer to enjoy what Long Island has to offer, in particular The Hamptons.  This past Saturday, I took myself all the way out east to Southampton for BELLA New York’s 5th Annual White Party!  It took place at the gorgeous Southampton Social Club, where some of the stars from Bravo’s hit television series Girlfriends Guide to Divorce showed up amongst others for the big soiree of the weekend!

This is the 2nd event that Manhattan Digest has covered for BELLA New York, as we covered their Kelly Osbourne cover party a couple of months back.  BELLA New York’s mission is simple- to spotlight the ideal that “beauty is defined by you”, and is becoming one of the premier luxury lifestyle publications for women in and out of Manhattan.

Their gorgeous and wonderfully kind CEO and Editor-In-Chief Courtenay C. Hall was first on hand at this fabulous event to discuss how excited she was for the night ahead, and why the party gets bigger and better each year.  “What gets better every year is the fact that we know better for the following year what to make better.  It always runs very smoothly, but nothing ever runs so perfectly so we learn each year.  This year, we are expecting 400 invite only guests and a great red carpet, so we are good!

Also on hand for the event was WPIX 11 journalist Tamsen Fadal, who admits to this being the first time she has been in The Hamptons all summer!  “This is the first time I’ve been here this summer, I need to get out here more.  This party is a good first stop as this represents summer to me”.  She mentioned looking forward to reconnecting with some friends at the party.  “I can’t wait to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a while.  I usually don’t go out on a Saturday night, so this is good”.

Two of the stars from Bravo’s hit show Girlfriends Guide to Divorce were in attendance, once being the main star of the show Lisa Edelstein and her friend and comrade Beau Garrett, who plays Phoebe.  The fourth season is in full swing, and when asking her to describe Abby in three words, she couldn’t.  “No, it’s too hard.  She is incredibly resilient, she takes a lot of falls and gets back up again and I’m impressed by that”.

She also mentioned being elated about the show’s success since its inception in 2014.  “I’m so happy about it.  I love the part and I love the storytelling, and its certainly been one of those jobs where I get to act the shit out of something from a huge gamut of emotional storytelling.  I really appreciate that”.

Other stars in attendance for the Bella New York event included Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Dolores Catania and Siggy Flicker, the latter of which can’t wait for the next season 2 (it was revealed that she is back last month).  Also the cast of Bravo’s Summer House were in attendance and were actually filming while there.  Quite interesting.

Guests sipped on Prosecco provided by Prosecco DOC, while stopping by Brussels Airlines for a fun photo-shoot, learning more about Cachet Boutique NYC Hotel and checking out an Aston Martin provided by Long Island Sports Cars. Other sponsors included were Southampton Social Club, Marzan Flowers, Alexey Klokov, Red Carpet Lifestyles, Fake Bake, TYKU Sake, 1907water, Rose All Day, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Dermalogica, Grande Cosmetics and Sulwhasoo.

Guests also included Dan Hall (BELLA Chief Brand Strategist), Lisa Edelstein (BELLA Cover Star), Stephanie Hollman (Bravo’s RHOD), Kim Depaola (Bravo’s RHONJ), Stephen McGee (Bravo’s Summer House), Ashley Wirkus (Bravo’s Summer House), Lauren Wirkus (Bravo’s Summer House), Kyle Cooke (Bravo’s Summer House), Daniela Olivera (Bravo’s Summer House), Lindsay Hubbard (Bravo’s Summer House), Everett Weston (Bravo’s Summer House), Emilia Bechrakis (Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing), Tabasum Mir (Bravo’s The Singles Project), Andy Peeke (Model), Ingrid Levin (Model), Amit Neuman (Model), Gabriel Sloyer (Netflix’s Narcos).

Overall, Courtenay and the staff of BELLA New York put on a heck of an event, and I look forward to seeing what they have in stores next year.
