The Regency Bar & Grill, located inside the super sophisticated Loews Regency New York on Park Avenue between 61st and 62nd street, has just added some absolutely delicious new menu items to try right in time for the summer.
If you are looking for not only a restaurant but a hotel that is the definition of swank and class, then the Loews Regency has you covered. The Regency Bar & Grill is located right when you walk into the hotels majestic entry way, where you will find a sprawling bar in the front and more intimate seating in the back.

They are known for updating their menus accordingly as the seasons go on (their fall one was simply superb), so naturally I was excited to head back there last week to see what new menu items they had in store for me and my guest.
What I love about The Regency Bar & Grill is how easy the menu is to navigate. Nowadays there are a zillion items on so many menus that it feels like you are reading a book instead, but theirs is straight to the point. The location excels at modern American fare, and their newest items prove that and them some.
One of the highlights had to have been their Prime Skirt Steak Skewers with blistered shishito peppers and housemade barbecue sauce. Skirt steak is my favorite cut of steak overall, and the version they made was cooked to perfection as the peppers complimented its overall taste and the sauce was so much fun to dip into and taste. A great starter if you are looking to go the meat route.

Other new items on the menu that are worth the try are their Squash Salad with kale, farro, feta cheese and a red berry vinaigrette, Tea Poached Salmon with quinoa pilaf and their Bronzini with seasonalaccompaniments. These are all summer-approved flavors and dishes that will no doubt keep you coming back for more.
They also have some classics that have remained on their menu through and through that are worth the try. Their Diavola Pizza with fresh mozzarella, pomodoro San Marzano, ndjuda and Spicy Soppressata was so flavorful. It was spicy without making me tear up, which is important when it comes to balancing the flavors of a dish like this.
