Looking to indulge in a delicious lunch that is healthy and flavorful all at the same time? Allow me to introduce you to Veggie Grill, a fast casual restaurant that will check off all your boxes when it comes to filling your belly with something truly tasty.
Veggie Grill, located in the Flatiron district on W. 23rd Street, is vegan and vegetarian plant based food done right. There’s usually this misconception about both kinds of cuisines that they are boring with not a lot of flavor to them however this fabulous location proves that wrong with every kind of dish they provide.

It’s the kind of place that screams “VISIT ME FOR LUNCH” as a lot of its menu items revolve around something you would get during that time of day to bring back to your office or, in recent months, your work from home situation.
Here are some of the items I recommend you indulging in the next time you find yourself at Veggie Grill. For one, their Tuna Melt with diced onion, capers, celery, and fresh dill topped with American cheese, pickles, and tomato on griddled rye bread is simply yummy. This is such a classic sandwich that you can do so much with and the fun ingredients like capers and dill only enhance just how tasty it really is.

Their Masala Curry Bowl is another option I really enjoyed. Usually with bowls I need there to be some kind of protein in them in order for me to really enjoy the overall dish however they were able to go above and beyond for me with the butternut squash, turmeric cauliflower and braised cabbage which made me forget about anything protein related.

If you and your guests are hungry enough then its best you order a starter or two. I recommend their Loaded Red Yams with homemade chili and all the fixings that makes for a perfect fall/winter dish. And don’t forget your sweet tooth as Veggie Grill has lots of fab dessert options from cookies to brownies and more.
