Primal Cut, located in the heart of the Upper East Side between 1st and 2nd Avenue, is one of the more unique experiences I have ever had when it comes to culinary reviews for Manhattan Digest. The unique in this situation is that this is the first time where I have written about a restaurant that is connected to Sapphire New York, one of the most popular gentlemen’s clubs here in Manhattan. Suffice to say, the staff at Primal Cut gave us a wonderful experience that we recommend anyone stopping in for, after the massive snowstorm we will be getting tomorrow of course [Read more…] about Primal Cut Gives a Great Dining Experience in The Upper East Side
The Meatpacking District’s 4th Annual Open Market a Big Success!
One of my favorite areas of Manhattan is easily The Meatpacking district. It is one of the trendiest areas of the cities, as it has a ton of amazing shops and restaurants to indulge in every once in a while (or every day, if you are lucky enough). Last night, all of this was celebrated under one roof, as Highline Stages, on 14th between 10th and 11th, played host to its 4th Annual party called Open Market. An Interview with the Amazing Guys from Logo’s “Fire Island”!
As a native Long Islander (who has made their way to East Harlem as of September), a big coo about living out there was the convenience of location that Fire Island truly was. There have been documentaries about this wonderful place in the past, but never has there been a series focused solely on it and the people who inhabit its surroundings. That reality is no more as LOGO TV is premiering the series of the same name later this spring, which follows a group of young professionals living together in a beachfront share house for the summer as they search for the romance, temptation and thrills that have brought the LGBTQ community to the island for decades. I got a chance to interview them this past Tuesday night at the season 9 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race to get the scoop on it all. Why the American Museum of Natural History Remains Iconic in NYC
Manhattan has a history of iconic locations closing throughout the years. Most recently we saw FAO Schwarz and Carnegie Deli close its doors for good, however one location that millions of us have grown up with and continue to love is the American Museum of Natural History. This legendary museum, located right off the C train on Central Park West and 79th Street, has been dazzling generations for decade with its mission statement of ” “To discover, interpret, and disseminate—through scientific research and education—knowledge about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe.” [Read more…] about Why the American Museum of Natural History Remains Iconic in NYC
Secrets Spilled at RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Premiere Party!
Playstation Theater, right in the heart of Times Square, played host to another go around of the best reality show on television, “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. The show is now entering its ninth season (minus the two All Stars season), and is prime to continue its journey in the pop culture stratosphere of bringing fierce competition, drama and so much more to the airwaves. I was front and center last night to chat with the girls on the new season, where they spilled some tea on finally making it onto the show, stiffest competition, and so much more. Also, some surprise guests were in the building… [Read more…] about Secrets Spilled at RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Premiere Party!

The Power of Social Media for Restaurateurs
There is a hefty white notepad situated on top of my nightstand that has ‘rested’ there since the day I moved in. Across the top, I’ve penned the words The Power of Social Media for Restaurants. For others, this notepad may serve as a passing interest; for me, it has become a journal of my extensive learning’s about a world driven by online content. East Village Hotspot Esperanto Offers Tasty Cuisine & Much More!
I am not the biggest fan of the East Village, in particular Alphabet City as it is such a long trek from where I live in Harlem. However, there are exceptions if what I am going to is worth the trip and then some. Esperanto, located on Avenue C between East 9th and East 10th Street, is one of those rare exceptions as it brings a ton of color and flavor to this particular area that is definitely a place to go to now and when the warmer weather hits! Here’s why. [Read more…] about East Village Hotspot Esperanto Offers Tasty Cuisine & Much More!
