Megu at Dream Downtown is a Little Bit of Heaven in Chelsea

by Ryan Shea

Megu

Megu has got to be one of the sexiest and trendiest experiences I have ever had in my endless dining quests here in Manhattan.  Located at the Dream Downtown (which also has its perks while staying in NYC), Megu is a sophisticated high-quality Japanese restaurant that serves some of the best sashimi, sushi, steak and a bevy of other options that will leave you feeling incredibly satisfied upon completion.  If there is one restaurant to visit this fall, it is Megu. Benjamin Hey! Brings Sexy, Soul & Sophistication Back to the Biz

by Ryan Shea

Benjamin Hey!

Benjamin Hey! has tons to bring to the table in the music industry. Good looks, great vocals and a ton of self awareness could make him the next big thing.  Upon first listen to his record “LAX”, its very clear that he is bringing back the three s’ to the music industry: sexy, smooth and sophistication.  In a time where music is running high on stale material, Benjamin Hey! could easily be a fresh spin on what’s going on right now. Why RuPaul’s DragCon Was Unbelievably Epic… Hunty

by Ryan Shea

DragCon

We had a fantastic time at RuPaul’s DragCon this past weekend, which took place at the Jacob Javitz Center in Midtown Manhattan.  The event took place for the first time here on the east coast (it’s been running for three years straight in Los Angeles), and I have to say that they have clearly struck gold based on the sheer chaos and excitement that the entire building felt throughout the two days there. The Little Red Men Are on a Quest to be The Next Big Thing

by Ryan Shea

Little Red Men

Maybe I am a bit biased (as I am from this area), but Long Island has a massive history of producing some of the biggest music legends over the past sixty years.  Mariah Carey, Billy Joel and LL Cool J are just three that are on this incredible list of artists who have shaped how music is today.  Now, we are looking for the next big thing to change the course of how the music industry will be in the future.  One that could potentially make those sorts of waves are a band named The Little Red Men, whose updated take on Indie rock could easily place them into the music stratosphere in a very short period of time. The Multi-Dimensional Talents Of Poet, Rapper & Singer AllOne

by Ryan Shea

AllOne

It’s always good to be a triple-threat (or even a quadruple-threat) in any sort of field, especially the music industry, and finding new talent who posses three or four of these attributes can be a big deal that can lead to a massive career down the line.  This is the hope for New York based poet, rapper, singer and writer Bruce Pandolfo, who goes by the name AllOne.  With his fresh and unique take on how music is written, produced and brought out to the public, he does something that not many other artists today do which will hopefully translate to him being the next biggest thing in music. Sen Sakana Blends Japanese & Peruvian Cuisine Beautifully

by Ryan Shea

Sen Sakana

Sen Sakana is a fantastic new restaurant that may just be my favorite one that I have checked out in 2017 (and I go to a lot of great places, mind you).  Fusion has always been a wonderful vocabulary word when it comes to culinary cuisine, and the blending of Japanese and Peruvian is simply delightful with what they are able to accomplish in their diverse and absolutely delicious menu. At the end of August, online news source Forbes published an article entitled “Bitcoin Is The New ‘Gold’”. Within the article, author Panos Mourdoukoutas explains that gold simply isn’t attracting the attention that it used to as bitcoin has taken its place when it comes to security during times of financial uncertainty. The cryptocurrency has increased in value more than ten times over the last twelve months alone, while SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) continue to shrink. Travel Idea: Take a Ninety Minute Trip to Philadelphia This Fall

by Ryan Shea

Philadelphia

A city that I find Manhattanites don’t go to that often is the “City of Brotherly Love”, otherwise known as Philadelphia.  It’s weird that we don’t find ourselves there too often, even thought it is a quick and cheap ride away via the Amtrak (same distance if you were traveling to Huntington on the Long Island Railroad, about 90 minutes).  The summer is officially coming to an end shortly, and the fall in Philadelphia will be chock full of great events to head to, restaurants to chow down at and hotels to stay in for a great night sleep.  Here’s why we think you should be visiting Philadelphia for the fall.
