Cognac is a very sophisticated spirit that many indulge in when they want to feel sexy. With a growing popularity across all cultures, it would only make sense to have to have a whole week dedicated to this cultivated brandy and it kicks off May 22nd. Fogo de Chão Brings the Brazilian Steakhouse to Midtown East
Fogo de Chão is one of the few times I will ever write about a “chain” type of restaurant for Manhattan Digest as I tend to prefer local spots as it’s what makes this city so darn special. Even though they have multiple locations across the United States, Fogo de Chão only has one here in Manhattan in Midtown East at 40 West 53rd Street. Known as the king of Brazilian Steakhouses, this location is one that I will surely remember for quite sometime in many different capacities. Park Avenue Tavern Unleashes a Scrumptious New Spring Menu
Park Avenue Tavern is one of the best restaurants to visit near Grand Central Station. Located about two blocks away from the world famous terminal’s entrance, this location boasts the best of New American cuisine that is sure to delight your taste buds and then some. I first stopped by there in the fall of 2016 to see what all the fuss was about, and was quite pleased at the culinary delights they provided me and my friend throughout the evening. When I found out they had some new items on their Spring menu, I promptly hopped on the 6 train and made my way there to experience what’s new. The Tuck Room’s Chill & Fun Vibes Propel You to South Street Seaport
A place we seldom visit here at Manhattan Digest is South Street Seaport, which is such a short trip away from wherever you are on the 2/3 subway line. Based on our experience at The Tuck Room this past weekend, I suddenly find myself scratching my head over why I haven’t taken more of a chance to just see how beautiful and fun this area of Manhattan really is! What are the Absolute Best Pasta Restaurants in Manhattan?
Pasta. Oh, pasta. As a native New Yorker, this is one particular dish that I can never get enough of as I have found that we have it pretty much the best here on a domestic level (Italy takes the cake for being the world’s best). There are a zillion different options here in Manhattan to find what you think is best for all things pasta, but the question is… which places truly reign supreme? Beyond Sushi Provides a Sneak Peak of Their First Dine-In Restaurant
One of the most prominent type of cuisines in Manhattan has to be sushi, and there are a zillion places you can get this delicacy throughout your day. Beyond Sushi, with three locations throughout the city, takes what you normally think about sushi and gives it a fabulous vegetarian and vegan twist that makes you think differently about how items like this are prepared. Last night, Beyond Sushi welcomed me and many other people from the press as they are opening their first Dine-In restaurant in the heart of Herald Square. I was cautiously excited, but after a while the word “cautiously” was removed from my vocabulary and I simply kept a smile on my face throughout.
