New York City boasts that it is the birthplace of pizza. (Screw you, Chicago. We win.) We have “the first pizza parlor” and $1 slices all over town. We can get it delivered to us at any time of day or night. We have gluten-free pizza places. We claim it’s just better here, (something about the water?), and we are damn proud of it. With all of this, I’m always surprised when someone can change the pizza game, and completely succeed. [Read more…] about PN Wood Fired Pizza is your New Favorite Pizza Place… and More

Professor Thom’s Makes the Grade in The East Village
It’s not just a sports bar. As I approached Professor Thom’s at 219 2nd Avenue between 13th and 14th streets in the East Village, I noticed the sequence of numbers many will recognize from TV’s “Lost” painted on the second floor facade. I wondered why a bar that caters to fans of the Red Sox and Michigan’s Wolverines would sport the iconic sequence, but shrugged it off and walked inside a dimly lit ground level bar. More of New York Photography Unedited
I mentioned in my last article that as I progress as an artist I am coming to different conclusions as to the use of post editing to enhance photographs. At what point do they stop being photos and become pieces of graphic art. If you have viewed this space over the past years you will have noticed that I have come right up to this line and even past it on a number of occasions. A Manhattanite in The Pocono Mountains: Welcome to Silver Birches
Now that the warmer weather has finally arrived, Manhattanites have zero excuses when it comes to getting outside and seeing what the city has to offer. Outside of that, you will find that for travel purposes, some of the best places to visit in the spring and summer time are a mere hour or two away, albeit train or car ride. A place that has always stuck out in my mind for tranquility, beauty, effervescence and above all enjoyment is The Pocono Mountains, which is a quick 90 minute drive away from the concrete jungle of Manhattan. After spending the past weekend there, all my thoughts about this beautiful part of Pennsylvania were realized and then some, especially with the first part of my trip- staying at the newly renovated Silver Birches, located in Hawley alongside the absolutely stunning Lake Wallenpaupack.
