Top 6 RuPaul’s Drag Race Queens Who Just Missed the Top Three
RuPaul’s Drag Race had its penultimate episode the other night, that left three very viable candidates in Bob The Drag Queen, Naomi Smalls, and Kim Chi to compete for the crown and become America’s Next Drag Superstar. This is one of the best seasons the show has ever had, easily, as it has showcased a ton of strong contenders who could’ve easily been in one of their positions (Thorgy Thor, Acid Betty, not Derrick Berry). Whereas this show has gotten it right for a good portion with its top 3, there have been times where the 4th, 5th or even lower should’ve been in the top three for a myriad of reasons. Not to be confused with the underrated article that I did a while ago, this top 10 list examines the ones that came so damn close to being in the final 3, but something happened along the way or in the end that caused them to fall flat. So who do we think deserved to be standing on that stage in the end, with a crown, smile or both on their face? Let’s examine. OBIE Award Winning Director David Cromer Talks About “The Effect”
“Love,” as the song goes, “is a many splendored thing.” It’s also a many splintered thing, as depicted in Lucy Prebble’s incredibly sound play The Effect. Prebble’s play depicts how and why we love through its two leading players: Tristan (Carter Hudson) and Connie (Susannah Flood) are two strangers who meet in a clinical setting where a study, led by Dr. James (Kati Brazda), will determine the use and effect of anti-depressants. James’ mentor, Dr. Toby (Steve Key) is an advocate in the pharmaceutical field and supervises the study. We also learn that he was once romantically involved with Dr. James. A Unique Take on Breakfast at The Kitano Midtown
Who doesn’t love brunch? It is freaking delicious! The problem with breakfast in New York City sometimes is that it tends to be the same type of dishes (Bacon, Egg & Cheese, French Toast, Eggs Benedict, etc) that tend to be repeated to the point where originality is out the door and you are having the same thing over and over again. If you are looking for a great twist to your everyday breakfast, look no further than The Kitano Hotel’s wonderful spread, located right inside their fabulous Murray Hill location. Everyone from Beyonce to Taylor Swift and so many more showed up in the best of the best, but question is… who do we think were the belles of the ball?
