Although it’s a tough debate between NYC, Atlanta and Orange County… The Big Apple wins it in my heart out as my favorite out of all The Real Housewives franchises.
This year’s annual Point Honors Gala – sponsored by Point Foundation, the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organazation for LGBTQ students – was certainly a joyous celebration, despite the heavy air of paranoia that has been gripping the community. Speaker Jorge Valencia even started his presentation by saying, “We are living in a country where we’re told that facts are fake. Escape to Margaritaville, the new Broadway musical featuring the music of Jimmy Buffett, might not be this season’s darling for critics. But critics be damned! Dan Lauria considers himself the luckiest guy in the world. The Brooklyn native, best known for his role as Jack Arnold on television’s Emmy winning show The Wonder Years, has played opposite great ladies including Judith Light, Priscilla Lopez, and Wendie Malick. He and Malick will soon appear in upcoming episodes of NBC’s This is Us.

We had a fantastic time at RuPaul’s DragCon this past weekend, which took place at the Jacob Javitz Center in Midtown Manhattan. The event took place for the first time here on the east coast (it’s been running for three years straight in Los Angeles), and I have to say that they have clearly struck gold based on the sheer chaos and excitement that the entire building felt throughout the two days there. A lot of us (myself included) here in Manhattan often forget that hunger in our city and country is still a huge issue to this day, especially with how it abnormally affects children.
