Hi Fellow Gay Men- Stop Asking Everyone to Crowdfund Your Crap.
I consider myself to be a very fair & balanced kind of guy, especially when seeing both sides of the story. However, there has been a trend happening on social media lately that really “grinds my gears” in a Peter Griffin/Family Guy type style that I cannot be quiet about anymore. And this one pertains to gay men, however it can go much deeper than that and cover all sorts of people. The message is simple- stop asking for people to crowdfund your material possessions. It is tacky, pathetic and stupid on your part, and if you really got your head out of your own stuck up ass for a minute, you would realize what a tool you are for asking in the first place. Our Exclusive with RuPaul’s Drag Race Superstar Katya!
When it comes to beloved queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race, one word that comes to mind easily is Katya. Katya was one of the breakout stars of season seven for so many different reasons, in particular her hilarious personality, comic timing, great fashion, and openness about her troubled past. It made the choice for Miss Congeniality that season a no brainer, to the point where there was even a fake out at the finale for her to win over the real winner, Violet Chachki. Exclusive With RuPaul’s Drag Race All Star Alaska Thunderfuck!
“Hiiiiiiiii!!!” was the first word that we heard out of RuPaul’s Drag Race legend Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 when she entered the werk room on Season 5 of the best and biggest reality show on television over the past ten years. Since her triumphant entrance, she took that season by storm, making it all the way to the final three, despite a lot of pressure and odds against her, and narrowly lost to Jinkx Monsoon. In this case, just as in many cases for RPDR, losing the crown doesn’t mean you lose in life. And Alaska is the farthest thing from that, as she has arose to become a huge force in the drag industry and one of the most beloved cast members the show has ever seen. Top 10 Plus Size RuPaul’s Drag Race Contestants of All Time
RuPaul’s Drag Race has been quite possibly the biggest reality show phenomenon over the past eight years. The show has catapulted the drag community far beyond its original expectations, and part of that happens to be the exposure of some amazing plus size queens. As a plus size guy myself, I always find that I’m rooting for those queens each season as they overcome adversity and show the world that there is more to their talent than just their size. The show hasn’t crowned a plus size girl yet, however there has been a bevy of amazingly gifted and amazing queens that have come out of the show and won the hearts of America… and the world. Adonis Lounge Moves its Muscles To The West Village
For as many years as this website has been around, one facet that myself in particular always made sure had coverage was the ongoings of the LGBT community, in particular in and around Manhattan. I have been a big fan of Adonis Lounge, one of the biggest M4M experiences in Manhattan for a very long time, and was thrilled when they made a big announcement over the last two weeks regarding what they called “Adonis 2.0”. Wake and Shake with Daybreaker- Pride Edition!
I hadn’t danced in ages when I went to Daybreaker at Space Ibiza, 637 West 50th Street on Wednesday. I wasn’t sure what to expect and feared that I would be out of place and misfit. I arrived at 5:30am; early enough to be the third person in line. The first person in line was a gentleman in his 50’s in a polo shirt and some cargo shorts. I wondered about being in the right place until I noticed the person between us slapping on temporary glitter tattoos and a rainbow headband. Her name was Kay, she had been there before, and her advice was, “get a few of the good drinks first before they are gone.” Bottles of cold brew coffee, juices, and coconut water were provided for everyone, free of charge.
