One of our favorite restaurants to dine at in New York City, Del Frisco’s Grille New York, is doing something super innovative and interesting with a great cause attached to it tomorrow night. They will be hosting an outside Polar Bear Dinner at their Rockefeller Center location, where the longer the guests are outside the more the grille will be donating to one of the biggest charities in the world, The Salvation Army.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Premiere Event Blasts Through Stage 48
Get your engines ready, hunties, because our favorite reality show, RuPaul’s Drag Race, is revving up its engines for Season 8 in two weeks. To coincide with its premiere, they had a huge event last night at the one and only Stage 48 to showcase the 12 new queens vying for the title that have helped legends in the making from Sharon Needles to Raja win and go on to bigger and better things. Our guest writer, the handsome and talented Matt Belvedere, covered the event for Manhattan Digest, and got the inside scoop from all the new queens, and the old (I mean really old) ones including Bianca Del Rio (hehe). Concert Review: Valentine’s Day with Megan Hilty and the NJSO
Unless you’re a commuter, it takes compelling incentive for a Manhattanite to leave the island. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra is one such reason. Megan Hility is another. Yet after venturing to the recently restored but acoustically challenged Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey last Friday evening February 12th, I returned to New York with a minor sense of disappointment.

Reviews: Broadway and the Bard, Snow White, & Rock & Roll Refugee
Broadway and the Bard
After recently sitting through eighty minutes of the inscrutable and insufferable Broadway and The Bard, I sheepishly turned to my guest for the evening (a fellow aficionado of entertainment) and asked his opinion. “Well,” he said, “I fell asleep for most of it and when I woke, I kind of just checked out and then remembered that I had to water my plants.” Such commentary does not support a compelling night of theatre. I wholeheartedly agreed with his assessment, though unfortunately, I remained awake for the ordeal.
