Hustlaball Hits New York City Hard October 12th

by Ryan Shea

Hustlaball, Manhattan Digest

The gay lifestyle and New York City kind of go hand in hand, like peanut butter and jelly.  With the exception of a couple of other competing cities in the United States, you really can’t compete with us here when it comes to the variety of gay bars, nightlife and huge events that happen year round in the city that never sleeps.  One infamous one is the epic Black Party which took place back in March to much hype and confirmed fanfare.  But if there is one event that combines the hottest men in the world, great music and some awesome live shows featuring both, it is the outrageous Hustlaball NYC, which is taking place this Sunday night at Club Slake on West 30th between 7th and 8th Avenue.

How does one describe Hustlaball to a viewer or person that has never heard of this before? It is simply designed as the world’s largest erotic dance party.  Taken place not only in New York City but in London and Las Vegas as well, the New York City version is jam packed with some of the biggest gay adult movie stars in the world, sure to entice and excite any fan to buy a ticket and see what their favorite performer or performers will be doing on and off the stage.  So who in fact will be there?  Performers such as Rocco Steele, Dirk Caber and Killian James who Manhattan Digest have profiled before to high praise and criticism.  As hot as those three are, the buck doesn’t stop just there.  Also performing will be superstars Tommy Defendi, Tyson Tyler, Christopher Daniels, Seth Santoro, Austin Wolf and Duncan Black just to name a few.  There are so many more performers that you should check out the official site for more information.

I was fortunate enough to sit down with another person I interviewed this past year, the sexy and seductive Boomer Banks, who is one of the organizers of Hustlaball NYC this year.  Take a look at what he has to say about the raunchiness and debauchery that Hustlaball NYC will expedite this coming Sunday night.

Tell us about some of the performers at Hustlaball.

This year, we have an amazing line up: Falcon Exclusive Ryan Rose and Colton Grey return this year to perform together (Hot hot hot!), two industry Pros, Falcon Group’s Exclusive Brent Corrigan and Nick Capra, will be putting on a SHOW (Caps needed), HustlaBall first timers Billy and Seth Santoro will have a special guest on stage. Also, Brian Bonds will be flagging Red for Hot Newcomer David Benjamin, and they are both Falcon Group Exclusives. NYC nightlife Sex Goddesses Daughters of Devotion with special guest Christian will be a sight. Cockyboys’ Tayte Hanson and Levi Karter. Need I say more? WOOF. Porn Sex Icon Jesse Santana and I, Boomer Banks, will be tearing up the stage… well, I’ll be tearing up something else. Leo Forte will be nothing less than Magic. Rentboy’s Best Bottom Killian James, Tyson Tyler , Duncan Black, Aleks Buldocek, Bravo Delta, Brock Rustin, Israel Oka, Max Cameron, Rouge Status, Champ Robinson and DaddyHunt Sex God Dirk Caber… I just blew my load saying all those names!!! My Boner Brigade for HustlaBall NYC is going to Turn out every onlooker and will be talked about for years to Cum!

HustlaBall is known for its extravagant live shows, what are you and the team going to do to keep the crowd going?

This year, the lineup of DJs is out of control: MensRoom (Chicago), Luther (World Wide), and Donkey (NYC). I guarantee the crowd won’t stop moving to these beats. Accompanied with Ryan Rose’s Hot Body all over Colton Grey’s thick cock, Brent Corrigan and Nick Capra taking command. Mix in Some Sexy Daughters of Devotion NYC nightlife magic and Big Daddy Dirk Caber… If that’s not enough refer to question number 1.

This event takes place in 3 different locations, what makes NYC so special?

Sure, there’s Vegas and London, but there is NO place like NYC. The energy alone is incendiary! Columbus Day weekend is a huge party weekend for NYC alone, with us throwing in this Unique Super Sexy Musical of Live shows. We have what no one else has: The Ultimate Uniqueness.

Any surprise guests or unexpected things planned?

We have many past performers always showing up, but that’s what makes it a surprise, right? This year, we have some special guest hosting from Tommy Defendi, Austin and Tyler Wolf, Eli Lewis, Leo Sweetwood, Nubias and the Phenomenal Director of the Year and Porn Mom Mr. Pam hosting the VIP room.

What kind of booths are at Hustlaball?

As always we will have our Rentboy HustlaBall NYC photo booth with Dick Mitchell, and I’m excited to announce our DaddyHunt booth with Featured Daddy Hosts: Hot Hung Newcomer Rocco Steele, Dolf Dietrich, Cole and Hunter (Maverick Men) and Diesel Washington.

What is Boomer doing, or who is Boomer doing that night?

I am the Stage Daddy(mom)/Manager for this year’s HustlaBall, and this year, I brought out Industry favorite and Sex GOD Jesse Santana to plow the night away… BOOM!

What is your overall hope for this?

I want this year’s  HustlaBall to embody the essence of NYC: a fairytale (satyr) Empire State of mind.

Sounds like a pretty fucking good time in my book, emphasis on the word fucking.  Tickets are still available via the official website, so make sure you stop by and enjoy yourself this Sunday night.  Guaranteed to have a great time.

Traveling To Vegas? Check Out The New Adonis Lounge

by Ryan Shea

Adonis Lounge, Manhattan Digest

Sometimes when a good idea happens you just can’t keep it down.  For the LGBT community, in particular the letter G in there, Adonis Lounge in New York City has become quite the popular spot for gay men to go, enjoy a drink and chat amongst some of the most beautiful men in our city.  Kind of like an elevated gogo boy experience per se, except these guys actually have conversations with each customer as opposed to standing on a box and dancing to a repeating beat.

After a successful opening in the Los Angeles area, they are expanding even further into sin city itself, Las Vegas.  Already known for its colorful city, lifestyle and personality, Adonis Lounge seems to be the perfect spot to plant itself in the midst of all the glory that Vegas has to offer.  From the hot men to the awesome atmosphere, I have no doubt that third time will really be the charm for something that just started out as an idea a couple of years ago (article here).  I recently sat down with headliner for Adonis Lounge Las Vegas, Xavier Muscle (@xaviermuscle on IG & Twitter) about the grand opening this coming Saturday, the business itself and what he sees for its future.  Check it out.

What spurred the idea to bring Adonis to Las Vegas?

This has been an ongoing pursuit since I moved to Vegas 2.5 years ago.  When I left NYC to move to Vegas, the plan was to come out and open up an ADONIS LOUNGE on the strip.  Our original location and plans fell through so I shifted gears and hosted a BIG MUSCLE EVENT every Thursday at Share NightClub for about a year called “ALPHA THURSDAYS”.  We featured the hottest muscle that Vegas had to offer every Thursday (lap dances and VIP rooms.  From ALPHA THURSDAYS, I felt that I made a dent in the Gay Las Vegas market and decided (with the help of Tim and Matt) to launch the Infamous ADONIS NUDE PARTY right here in Sin City.  This all lead me to where I am today – FINALLY ready to blow the roof off of Vegas with a weekly, Saturday, Adonis Lounge event at the HOTTEST AND BIGGEST GAY NIGHTCLUB IN VEGAS – SHARE NIGHT CLUB.

Known as Sin City, Vegas is already well known for its biggest male stripper attraction- The Chippendales. How is this experience different?

Chippendales is more of a show that showcases hot men that you can’t touch and can’t tip, not very interactive or even Gay friendly from what I’ve been told.  On the other hand Adonis is TOUCH, TIP, TOUCH, TIP and in some cases you can even “touch the tip”.

You have danced at both the NYC and LA Adonis’. Have each location inspired this one in terms of the look and feel and the guys?

Boy that’s a tough one, I’ve gained so much experience and insight working alongside all the dancers as well as Tim and Matt.  Each location is so different, I would say that Tim and Matt have adapted to their market just as I will adapt to Vegas.  How can you not be inspired with all those hard bodies around you!  Adonis has a tried and true method to their madness so it’s clear that I have a well thought out blueprint of success from those guys.

Tell me about some of the guys at Adonis Vegas. What are they bringing to the table?

I don’t care what anyone says, Vegas is the new “Mecca of Bodybuilding”.  I’m always scouting the gyms for fresh meat and these Vegas guys definitely stay in top shape and get their fair share of protein.  Plain and simple, VEGAS = MUSCLESTUDS

What special things are happening on the first night?

Our grand opening is not only going to have Tim and Matt under one roof.  Add in our headliner BIG MAX who stands at 6’2 and 290lbs and you have a muscle worshippers dream!  I have never met anyone that size in our world of lap dances.  He’s going to crush some laps for sure!  If that’s not enough, our whole lineup consists of headliner quality men.  A night that will go down in Adonis History for sure!!

What advice did my buddy Tim give you when you started this venture?

Tim’s advice?  No joke, “you’ll find yourself on your knees and even sometimes on all 4’s, so learn how to take it and grow some thick foreskin”.  Good thing I’ve got experience in the chaotic world he lives in or it might hurt like hell in the beginning!! :-O

Do you hope to follow in his footsteps?

I’ll have to bash Tim first before I give him some praise… Many moons ago, when Tim first reached out to me to do some Solo Video shoots for pennies on the dollar from what I was used to getting paid (I’m premadonaish sounding, I know) and then he wanted me to give him a referral fee on top of that… I thought, “what a bucket of sleeze”.  A mutual friend then told me, “I met Tim and he seemed like a genuine nice guy”.  I gave the sleezy NYer one more shot and danced at his little Adonis club thing.  We clicked and began our bromance which has now lead to us getting in bed together.  What does this have to do with following his footseteps? NOTHING…haha ok I’ll answer the question… YES TIM I WANT TO FOLLOW YOUR FOOTSTEPS!!  For real though, Tim has created something huge out of nothing and it would be silly to not want to follow his VERY LARGE footprints.

Describe Adonis Las Vegas in 3 words.

Finally, an easy question… RAUNCHY, MUSCLEGODS and HANDSON (not an actual word)

Anything else to add?

The great part of being on a team with Tim and Matt is that we are ALL customer service oriented.  Connecting with customers and being readily available for issues or perhaps someone wants to share their gratitude for an amazing experience.  A prompt response and acknowledgement is a key component to a successful business.  At any given time, you can reach Tim, Matt or myself via Email, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  No one else runs these accounts but us.  It makes for a heavy work load but it’s important to me as well as the other 2 stooges.  Vegas is now on the ADONIS map and I’m really looking forward to what’s to come…

Jeff Timmons Brings The Heat with Men Of The Strip

by Ryan Shea

Looks like NYC Is Gonna get A Lot Hotter Thanks To Jeff Timmons

Jeff Timmons is known for many things.  Outside of having a great singing voice and being in one of the biggest boy bands of all time, 98 Degrees, he is also a scorchingly handsome guy who has kept the ladies (and some dudes, keep it real) screaming for almost twenty years.  Now he has taken a formula of singing and good looks and put it to the test with “Men Of The Strip”, a musical male revue show are embarking on a North American promotional tour through early 2014 and filming a docu-series before making a home on the Las Vegas Strip next year.

The show is coming to New York City tomorrow night at The Gramercy Theater, where you will get the chance to see these guys up close and personal.  The show features songs by Jeff and choreography by Emmy-nominated Glenn Douglas Packard (did shows for  Pink, Usher, Ricky Martin, Whitney Houston, etc) which will be performed by Men of the Strip cast members.  I got to sit down with Jeff this past weekend to talk about his professional endeavors with this company and what he is ultimately hopeful for with Men Of The Strip.  Take a look.

What made you want to get involved with a project like this?

Well, a couple of years back when 98 Degrees was on hiatus, I was asked to emcee a Chippendales show in Las Vegas.  My initial response was, “Hell No”, but my wife said that it is a real show with real production value and you should check it out.  When I saw it, I was in the back of the theater hoping no one saw me in here.  However, after I saw the show and saw how crazy the women went, I did a complete 180 and thought how I wanted everyone to see me in there.  It is an older brand that has a stigma to it, so what I wanted to do was something that had a younger and fresher element to it with the proper help.  I teamed up with Glen Douglas Packard, who has choreographed for the likes of Michael Jackson and Ricky Martin, and tried to develop a concept of a sexier and cooler male revue.

What kind of vibe does it have, is it more on the lines of “Magic Mike” and “Chippendales” or is it something different?

Well for one, the choreography in “Magic Mike” is vastly different from the choreography in “Chippendales”.  The ones in “Magic Mike” are all really good dancers, and not to take anything away from the “Chippendale” dudes but theirs is very basic.  Just your a-type bodybuilders moving around on a stage.  The cats that we picked can dance and sing.  They aren’t just good looking guys but very charismatic as well.  We really were very particular on who we picked for the brand, not just for the stage show but for the TV series we are doing as well.   We need those types of personalities that would translate into the television world.

How did you incorporate this being a musical into something like a male revue?  Was it challenging?

The show is about obviously tantalizing women’s fantasies, and not just stripping.  Coming from someone who was in a boy band, even though we didn’t consider ourselves one, we know what it is like to be sexy singers on stage and what it does to girls and their reactions and whatnot.  We had to make sure that these guys knew how to sing, albeit acapaella , as a group, whatever.  We got some talented guys that not just looked the part but can sing and really entertain the audience on a much larger scale.

How excited are you about the show in NYC on Tuesday? Do you have anything special planned for the NYC folks?

We have a couple of special guests coming.  A couple of celebrities we’ve invited.  We’ve been doing a station wide tour, and it has been somewhat of a “Grass Root” type thing similar to what we did with 98 Degrees with traveling in a Winnebago to some cool places and some not so much.  Before these guys get on TV and have that kind of a life, I wanted them to experience the road life.  We’ve gone to small places where we have had 20 people and we have gone places where its been sold out with 1600 people, so it really runs the gamut.

As for the New York show, I find that New York is truly where 98 Degrees made it big, even though we are from Cleveland.  So I am really excited for the New York show and we have a bunch of people and press coming.  Just really looking forward to seeing what happens.

You are filming a docu-series on this.  What will it profile in particular?

It is going to start with a 90 minute movie instead of a pilot and will probably going to come out in May or June to coincide with our launch in Vegas.  It will be something behind the scenes as opposed to what you would normally see in front of the scenes.  Of course the show is going to be amazing and will have great production value, but we are focused on the guys.  From how they get along with each other to the everyday struggles with girlfriends and wives and going to school and some of them being playboys, that is all a catalyst for craziness.  That is what was so fascinating to me when I hosted the “Chippendales” is that they are all great guys and have these outside lives which will be the central of this television show.

What has been the craziest thing you have seen so far since you started this whole thing?

Well I would tell you, but you can’t print that kind of stuff.  I mean we have had women and men chasing us, traveling from city to city.  They already have their groupies in hand, so that is pretty great for something that is starting off so fast.

What are you ultimate hopes for “Men Of The Strip”, and ultimately your career in the future?

I think this could be a really mainstream brand.  Of course I love my music and I will go back on tour with 98 Degrees soon, but I think this is really cool with how “Magic Mike” is so popular now.  It used to be something that was so taboo for women that is now becoming more successful, so I would love to see this become huge worldwide and the same type of thing for the guys as well.  Just want to see this be a huge accomplishment, that’s all.

One final thing- most people around my age group of course grew up with 98 Degrees and saw your group make a rousing return this summer with “The Package Tour”, but it is tough for boy bands to have longevity.  What advice would you give to the up and coming ones right now?

I think the important thing that we didn’t know because we were working so hard was to have fun with it.  Hard work is necessary of course, but always surround yourself with good people and the experience will be that much better.

Sounds like it is going to be a good time had by all.  Check out their main website for more information and if you would like to come to what seems to be the hottest show in New York City then stop by the Gramercy Theater tomorrow night for some fun and debauchery.

DJ Dainjazone- from LMFAO’s DJ to man with a mission

by Ryan Shea

DJ Dainjazone has become one of the most sought-after DJ’s in and outside of the Los Angeles are in which he resides.  After coming off an uber-successful tour with Grammy nominated superstars LMFAO, he took time to sit down with me and discuss what he has going in his career and the steps he took along the way to get to where he is.  Really good read and someone you should be on the lookout for in the upcoming months.  Check it out.

So how old were you when you decided you wanted to become a DJ?

I started DJ’ing about six and a half years go around the age of 22.  I’ve always had an interest in DJ’ing in particular the hip-hop elements of it.  I can’t really break dance or rap, so I figured doing this would be perfect.  One night some of my basketball team members were throwing a house party and I decided to DJ the whole event.  Turned out to be a great success.  From there on I took matters into my own hand and made this into a career.

Who would you say are some of your musical influences that inspire you?

I would say guys like Chris Brown and Kanye West, ones that really express passion in what they are doing.  I am a huge fan of Travis Barker and it inspires the hell out of just watching him play the drums.  Stuff like that.

How would you describe your sound as a DJ for me?

It is tastefully all over the map.  Red Foo of LMFAO lets me play more stuff that is hip-hop based.  At the same time I like to throw curveballs in my sets but do it in a tasteful way.  I like to educate a crowd and teach people new things when it comes to being a DJ and doing this has been a great platform for that.

When people hear your sets who do you usually get comparisons to?

I’ve gotten DJ AM a couple of times before.  No one really besides that.  For me with AM that is the ultimate compliment.  He is the Michael Jordan in this field and broke down so many walls in terms of finding a way to be creative so anyone that says that to me is truly gratifying.

What was the experience like working on LMFAO’s recent tour?

The first feeling I had in this whole thing was truly how tiring it was.  The schedule was crazy- we would do a set, go to another country and so on and so forth.  In a span of three weeks we would only have two days off.  I saw both sides of it truly- how relaxing and cool it was to really how intense it got.  The intense times where was I learned a lot about your character by learning to be patient and survive mentally and physically.  I persevered through and overall it was a great experience.

LMFAO got nominated for a Grammy this year for “Sexy and I Know It”.  What were your thoughts on the show overall?

The Grammy’s for me is always an awarid show for the more grown crowd.  Other award shows tend to me a little bit more goofier and people acting out, that doesn’t really happen here.  It was a chill show that really was done very appropriately.

You have a hashtag on your Twitter handle about #theteam.  What exactly is that?

The team’s group is myself, DJ Rell and Sean Harris who raps and produces.  The team came organically, we even have our own hand pose to boot.  Few other guys are based in Las Vegas and LA.  This team ultimately consists of guys that I have chemistry and gel with, which ultimately is the most important thing when you are forming a team.

What are your plans for the rest of 2013?

There is a brand that I am working on called Infinite Intelligence.  It is the name on my Twitter handle actually.  It is related to DJ’ing and represents my lifestyle and being great in everything I do.  It is putting out there that anything you do is possible and you can do anything you want if you put your mind right.  I am going to put documentary videos on what I do- shopping, DJ’ing, working out,m etc.  Let people out there know how we are proceeding.  I also plan on redoing my website in the upcoming months and I have a great new logo that is done.

DJ DIRTY SOUTH ALBUM RELEASE; Art Design Contest

by Ryan Shea

Dirty South Contest
Dirty South Contest
Dirty South Design Contest

Talenthouse recording artist Dirty South just announced he will be releasing his first full-length studio album, Speed of Life.  This Serbian-Australian DJ/Producer has been on the house music circuit for a few years now and has racked up plenty of positive recognition and attention.  In 2008, he was nominated for a Grammy, in the Best Remixed Recording category for his  recording of, fellow Tech-House DJ, Kaskade’s Sorry, and then again, in the same category in 2011 for his collaboration with Axwell for the Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition.

Since his recording career began, Dirty South has been racking up merits from a number of respected house music sources.  He is well known in the acclaimed InTheMix 50 DJ Poll’s, voted “Most Popular Producer Nationally” in 2007 as well as ranking 2nd in the 2007 InTheMix 50 DJ Poll.  Let’s not forget that in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ poll every year since 2007.

So now that you know a little bit about this insanely talented DJ/Producer (just in case you) let me get to my point…In honor of his album release Dirty South is inviting artists to compete to design artwork for a limited edition tee-shirt that will be sold through his online store.  Having a design on an internationally sold clothing item is a great accomplishment for even the most seasoned artists, but even if you are just an aspiring artist or just have a talent for design and art this could be your open doorway!  Not only will the winner’s design be printed and sold, they will also receive a trip to VEGAS, a two night stay at The Wynn Las Vegas & Encore Resort, and a meet and greet with Dirty South himself.

To enter view Talenthouse‘s website at:

www.talenthouse.com/design-for-dirty-south

Winners will be announced March 5th and the deadline to submit is Tuesday February 26th!

I’m very honored to be the one to let you all know about this exciting opportunity and, as an art lover myself, look forward to voting and seeing the winning design!  And don’t forget the winner will be announced the same day as Dirty South’s album release!!
