Yummy & Delicious Recipes for National Maple Syrup Day!

by Ryan Shea

If anyone on this world doesn’t like the taste of Maple Syrup then quite frankly you need to get your head checked.  Maple Syrup is up there (for me at least) with pizza, ice cream & cake in terms of universally delicious foods that you must try at least once in your life.  On top of that, it has its own holiday!  Yes today is National Maple Syrup Day for all of us Manhattanites and people around the country.  And you are in luck if you plan on cooking up anything with Maple Syrup in it because Maple from Canada – the largest maple-producing region in the world – scouted this year’s cookbooks, food blogs, social media channels and even bars to find 2015’s best maple recipes.

The Saybrook Point Inn & Spa Boasts History, Luxury & More

by Ryan Shea

Although the winter time this year seems more like an Indian Summer with the weather we have been having lately, it is still good for us to get out of New York City and vacation elsewhere to get yourself out of the concrete jungle and somewhere that is much more relaxing regardless of the temperature.  Luckily enough, there is a great location right outside New York City that takes roughly 90 minutes to get to via Amtrak and has so many amenities and bonuses to it that you will leave feeling invigorated, satisfied and above all… happy.  This is The Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, located in the heart of Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

Fresh Salt Lights Up Saybrook Point Inn & Spa

by Ryan Shea

Fresh Salt

Over the weekend I got to experience the incredible Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, conveniently located about an hour outside of New York City in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.  The luxury inn is so much more than a place to lay your head at night, and has several different amenities, functionalities and things to do all under one roof that it is completely worth the visit (that article will be going up shortly).  One of the highlights for me during my stay was their incredible restaurant located inside the main building of Saybrook Point Inn called Fresh Salt, which was recently named “Top 25 Most Gorgeous & Delicious Outdoor Dining Spots in Connecticut” by Connecticut Magazine.

121 Fulton Street Promises Way More Than Just Its Address

by Ryan Shea

With all of the restaurants that I have reviewed for Manhattan Digest, 121 Fulton Street happens to be the first one where the name of the restaurant is synonymous with its actual address in New York City.  The location, located in lower Manhattan right off the 2 and 3 trains, is 4,500 square feet of absolute bliss with four different key functionalities located insider for people to really enjoy.  [Read more…] about 121 Fulton Street Promises Way More Than Just Its Address

La Gringa Taqueria Spices Up Brooklyn & The West Village

by Ryan Shea

No matter what cuisine I am trying out in Manhattan, the one that I always seem to love more than anything is Mexican.  I don’t know why, but as someone who grew up loving spice, it seems to resonate with my taste buds and a good cause for my happy faces as I have grown up.  So naturally I was excited to try out La Gringa Taqueria, which has two super convenient locations on Christopher Street in the West Village and Grand Street in Williamsburg.
