Well, the winter of 2016 is a thing of the past now that we are sitting in 70 to 80 degree weather, and it looks like that is sticking around for a while! Yay! We can take those dusty flip flops out and head to the beach for some fun in the sun, but in order to do that, you need some great essentials! That is where we at Manhattan Digest come in. A Farewell to Prince, An Imminent “Sayonara” for Sayre
I caught wind of the frequent convening later than I hoped, but was ultimately grateful to have made it. I’m referring to Justin Sayre’s International Meeting of Sodomites, a standing comedy routine held downtown at Joe’s Pub. Sayre’s variety show format began at the intimate Duplex space in the West Village and later moved to the larger venue where he has been packing the pub and entertaining audiences with his brand of wicked humor and tributes to musical icons. “The Meeting” has also entertained crowds across the country in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Clearly, sodomites are everywhere and fortunately, we have a strong leader with Sayre at the helm. [Read more…] about A Farewell to Prince, An Imminent “Sayonara” for Sayre
News Flash Bear Community- No one is Out of Your League
There has been a bunch of articles (by lazy journalists) that has been circling the internet as of late, that has this particular guy pissed in many different ways. The control c, control v articles that are all over social media is about a report that states bears have lower self-esteem, and therefore are more like to engage in riskier sex. Regardless if this is a simple “study”, it doesn’t reflect the bear community at all for several different reasons and as someone who tends to be a bit more blunt than others when it comes to people being wrongfully judged for their owns reasons, I will say this as a preface to this article- fuck what anyone else thinks. And most importantly, when it comes to your dating and sex life, understand that no one, I mean NO ONE, is out of your league. Marilu Henner & Michael Brown: Love (and Health) is All You Need
No dairy. No beef. No strong alcohol. No sugar. No fun? Hardly! At 64, screen and stage star Marilu Henner carries herself with the passion, poise, and pizzazz of many half her age. Her husband, Michael Brown is also 64, but carries himself with the swagger of a young Don Draper. In his youth, Brown was a longshoreman whose travels took him around the globe and into a world of unhealthy habits. Eventually, it led to a diagnosis of bladder cancer. Known for her health advocacy and New York Times bestselling wellness books, Henner walked with her husband through Eastern and Western treatments. Brown, who now runs a successful calendar publishing company (Browntrout), has been in remission for 12 years. They both credit a strict, but livable diet and exercise program which has not only kept them feeling healthy, but looking remarkably younger than their peers. Do your palms get itchy when your phone or tablet or laptop or remote control is out of view? [Read more…] about Step Away From the Device! A Photographic Response to Technology
