Escape to Cuban Heaven at Havana Central in Times Square

by Ryan Shea

Let’s face it- for the people that live in New York City, an area that we kind of/sort of have come to despise over recent years is Times Square.  Yes, Times Square, the biggest tourist spot in the world, is full of a bunch of eye sores that many of us turn a blind eye to each time we are in this overpacked location.  However, there are a few standout restaurants in the midst of the craziness that make you forget about the annoying visitors and focus on the good night ahead.  With all the crazy cold weather we’ve been getting, I couldn’t think of a better place to escape to than a delicious Cuban experience at Havana Central, located on 46th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue.

French cuisine is one of the most sophisticated cuisines in the world, and is one that is very important to the New York City foodie scene.  One place in particular that has this concept down pat is Aperitif Bistro Wine Bar, with two locations in Bayside and Rockville Centre, the latter being a mere 20 minutes outside of Manhattan.  I went to the Rockville Centre location the other night, as I heard rave reviews about this and was pleasantly satisfied with the end result.

Why Villa Borgehese III Is Worth The Trip To Jersey City

by Ryan Shea

As far as I am concerned, if Italian food is good… you travel for it.  With the endless options you can try with one of the best cuisines in the world, you might be surprised that there are good places that can provide such a treat for your palate that runs outside of New York City.  Shocking, right?  One of these places is called VB3, short for Villa Borghese, located right off The Path Train in Jersey City.  When you can master a hard combination of exquisite Italian cuisine in a sports bar setting, you must be doing something right.  And VB3 does that… and more.
